- Set compatibility setting on the installer file (i.e. set-up.exe) by right clicking - properties - Compatibility tab - check the box to "Run this program in compatibility mode for: - Select Windows 7.
- Change "Core Isolation" mode to off to allow the older program to install. Click on Settings - Windows Security - Device Security - Core Isolation Details link under the Core Isolation heading - Move the slider to "Off" under Memory integrity and REBOOT (this is important as it Windows won't tell you to Reboot and it won't work until after you reboot).
- Install your program
- OPTIONAL - Change the Core Isolation back to "On" by doing the reverse of above (#2) and REBOOT
