If power settings are missing due to a Windows update, do the following:

  1. Open Powershell as an Administrator
  2. Run the following command
    powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61 

  3. Open Power Settings in Control Panel
  4. Click the down arrow on the line "Show Additional Plans"
  5. Select "Ultimate Performance"
