To enable print driver isolation which will load the printer drivers in separate memory space from the print spooler:
- Open an administrative command prompt
- Type "gpedit.mec" (without the quotes)
- Navigate to Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Printers
- Edit the setting "Override print driver execution compatibility setting reported by print driver"
- Select the "Enabled" radio button
- Close Group Policy Editor
- from the Administrative command prompt type "gpupdate /force" (without the quotes)
You may need to restart the Print Spooler service or reboot for this to take effect.
